How We Started

KPF is the fruit of an assembly of families who gathered together in regular prayer meetings of praise, worship and witnessing of God’s love. It was formalised on the 16th of April 2011 and named KAPATIRAN PRAYER FELLOWSHIP (herein called Kapatiran, KPF or the Community).

The seed of work for this gift of faith community for those who were called to our way of life until this present moment that led to what was today started its journey last September 2006 whose sowing encountered much difficulties, trials and challenges along the way. But with His inspiration the small group of individuals regularly meeting together in prayer were inspired by His guidance and the manifestation of the movement of the Holy Spirit among those gathered had reached its first major milestone last 2011 naming this catholic faith renewal movement to KPF.

KPF is catholic charismatic renewal community. Its focus and the core of yearly spiritual activity is on evangelization through the KPF Life in the Spirit Program. Bringing people to renew their personal relationship with the Lord and helping those that will commit to  a life filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Another major milestone in the journey of KPF was held last 09 & 10 April 2016 celebrating the AnCel 2016, the first KPF national anniversary celebration. It was participated by our brothers and sisters from townships of  Levin and Paraparaumu,   cities of Christchurch, Wellington, Palmerston North and Auckland.  The two-day event had its opening mass celebrated by no less than the Archbishop of Wellington, Cardinal John Dew and with his blessings as well on the 2nd day giving inspirational teaching to the participants together with Father Bernard Espiritu, National Director- NZ Mission.
